Canby Ferry retrofitting plans nearly complete; temporary removal from service anticipated in near future
The Canby Ferry, which has been closed for several days because of high water, will be out of service for up to six months in order to undergo major maintenance.

Plans are coming together for the Canby Ferry to undergo major maintenance in 2013, including receiving a new, cleaner, quieter propulsion system. The work will require the ferry to be out of service for several months beginning as soon as mid-December 2012.
