Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Judy Biggert (R-IL-13th) today issued the flowing statement regarding the recent uptick in violent threats made against members of Congress, their staff, and families:
 
            “Acts of violence and physical threats against public servants and their families have no place in politics, and no place in our democratic society.  As Americans, we believe that everyone has a right to voice his or her opinion, and those who seek to silence others through violence are to be condemned for their actions.”
