LANCE PRESENTS SILVER STAR POSTHUMOUSLY TO WWII SOLDIER

FLEMINGTON – Today Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) awarded the prestigious Silver Star posthumously to Private First Class Adolph Wagner of New York. Lance presented the Silver Star to his son, Gary Wagner of Westfield, for his father’s service during World War II.

Specifically, Adolph Wagner served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945 and never received the service medal he earned for his heroism in action. He passed away in 1984, and his family has been trying ever since to secure their father’s service medal. Recently the Wagner family contacted Lance’s office for assistance, and after just a few short months on the job, Lance’s office secured the medal posthumously.

Lance’s office routinely helps veterans and service members receive their lost, stolen or never before awarded service medals. If you know someone who needs help in obtaining their earned service medals, please contact Lance’s Westfield office at 908-518-7733 or his Flemington office 908-788-6900 for assistance.
