LANCE MEETS WITH CHILDREN'S SPECIALIZED HOSPITAL

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today met officials from Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, New Jersey to discuss federal issues important to children’s hospitals across the nation and the families they serve.

As a member of the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee, Lance has been a strong supporter of children's hospitals.  The Seventh District lawmaker is a cosponsor of bipartisan legislation passed by the U.S. House that would address a national shortage of primary and speciality pediatric physicians.

Congressman Lance last year joined hospital officials, staff and residents in training at Children’s Specialized Hospital to discuss how the measure helps pediatric training programs by maintaining and strengthening existing hospital graduate medical education programs.

"Under the strong leadership of my friend, president and CEO Amy Mansue, Children's Specialized Hospital has become one of the preeminent pediatric health facilities in the United States," Lance said.  "I am proud to represent Mountainside's Children's Specialized Hospital in Congress."
