LANCE HOSTS SERVICE ACADEMY FAIR FOR SEVENTH DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS JUNE 12 IN WOODBRIDGE

WASHINGTON – Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) will hold an “Service Academy Information Fair” for Seventh Congressional District high school students on Saturday, June 12 in Woodbridge. The Seventh District includes towns in Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex and Union Counties.

Lance’s “Service Academy Information Fair” will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sat., June 12 at the Woodbridge Community Center located at 600 Main Street.

Lance has invited representatives from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the United States Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy and the Coast Guard Academy. Additionally, representatives from Lance’s congressional staff will be available to answer questions from students about the nominating process.

“It’s my hope that all interested high school students will attend this important event to learn more about our Nation’s service academies,” said Lance. “One of the most rewarding parts of my job is to help young people who are interested in learning more about the highly competitive nomination process. The academy fair will be a great opportunity for young people and their parents to talk directly with service academy admissions officers and get their questions answered.”

Lance’s academy fair is free and open to all Seventh District high school students.

Students with questions should call Brad Myhre in Congressman Lance’s office at (908) 788-6900 for more information.
