LANCE DISCUSSES OBAMACARE, FEDERAL SPENDING AND TAX CUTS DURING MANVILLE TOWN HALL MEETING

WASHINGTON – On Monday, August 2, Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-7) held a town hall meeting with more than 40 residents at the Manville Senior Center in Manville.   Lance is holding a series of summertime town hall meetings throughout the Seventh Congressional District.

During the hour-long meeting with area residents, Congressman Lance discussed important issues facing Congress and the American people.  Lance took questions and shared his views on a wide range of issues including the economy, health care, federal spending, the rising federal debt and local flood control needs.

“We had a wonderful discussion of the important issues facing the Nation,” Lance said.  “Local residents were clearly concerned about the economy, federal spending, health care and growing levels of debt.  I was able to present my views on these topics.  It was a great, free exchange of ideas, and I was honored to have the opportunity to be able to answer their questions.”

Members of Lance’s staff were also available to assist residents who are experiencing difficulties with federal agencies, such as the IRS, Social Security Administration, Veterans’ Affairs, the State Department or any other federal agency.

Lance noted that his next town hall meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Tues., Aug. 10 at the Summit City Hall Building (Council Chambers Room) located 512 Springfield Avenue in Summit. The meeting is free and open to the public. Residents with questions can call Lance’s district office at 908-518-7733.
