FLEMINGTON, NJ – On Monday, August 23, Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-7) held a town hall meeting with more than 150 Hunterdon County residents at the Raritan Township Municipal Building in Flemington.   Lance has been holding a series of summertime town hall meetings throughout the Seventh Congressional District.

During the hour-and-a-half long meeting with Hunterdon County residents, Congressman Lance discussed important issues facing Congress and the American people.  Lance took questions and shared his views on a wide range of issues including the economy, health care, federal spending, rising federal debt.

“We had a wonderful discussion of the important issues facing the Nation,” Lance said.  “Local residents were clearly concerned about the economy, federal spending, health care and growing levels of debt.  I was able to present my views on these topics.  It was a great, free exchange of ideas, and I was honored to have the opportunity to be able to answer their questions.”

Members of Lance’s staff were also available to assist residents who are experiencing difficulties with federal agencies, such as the IRS, Social Security Administration, Veterans’ Affairs, the State Department or any other federal agency.

This summer, Lance has held Town Hall meetings in each of the four counties that make up New Jersey's Seventh Congressional District including meetings in Montgomery, Manville, Roselle Park, Summit, Woodbridge and Flemington.
