WATCHUNG, NJ – On Sunday, May 30 Congressman Leonard Lance commended the Watchung Fire Department on their 100-year anniversary and for their efforts to host the towns Memorial Day community picnic.   
 
“Watchung firefighters work hard day and night to keep our community safe,” said Lance.  “I am proud to commend the Watchung Fire Department on 100 years of dedicated service to our community.”
 
During the event, Lance presented Fire Department officials with an American Flag that was flown over United States Capitol Building in their honor.
