Lawmaker Honors Hunterdon Central’s Red Cross Club

FLEMINGTON, NJ – Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today held a brief ceremony at Hunterdon Central Regional High School to commend the school’s Red Cross Club for their recent blood donation drive.  The Seventh District lawmaker, who has been a regular blood donor throughout his adult life, also praised the students for raising awareness of the important issue.

During the ceremony, Lance commended Yuechun "Charles" Liu, Glorianne Montes and Kelcie Beca and presented the students with special congressional commendations. HCRHS Interim Principal Tim O’Brien also participated in the event.

“Donating blood is one of the greatest gifts an individual can give,” said Lance.   “I am deeply impressed with the hard work of these students and commend their efforts to create awareness of this important issue.”

Also, as part of his visit to Hunterdon Central, Lance spoke to a social studies class and a small group of students from the Flemington Jewish Center.
