LANCE COLLECTS CARDS FOR TROOPS FROM HILLSBOROUGH SCHOOL CHILDREN

Triangle Elementary School Participates In Holiday Mail For Heroes Program

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ – Today, Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) visited Triangle Elementary School in Hillsborough.   During the visit, Lance collected homemade holiday cards from the school’s Third and Fourth grade students for U.S. troops.

The cards will be delivered to the American Red Cross Greater Somerset County chapter and will be part of the Red Cross’ Holiday Mail for Heroes program.

“I commend Triangle Elementary School students for making thoughtful greeting cards for U.S. troops,” said Lance.   “This is a special time of the year when many of us reflect on family and friends and I expect the students’ wishes will warm the hearts of our troops stationed here at home and around the world.”

Lance also noted that he was impressed with Triangle’s principal, Lisa Heisel, teachers and staff who work hard every day to make a difference in our community.

If you or someone you know would like to send a holiday greeting to U.S. troops as part of the Red Cross campaign, please send your letters to: Holiday Mail For Heroes, P.O. Box 5456, Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456.  All letters must be postmarked no later than Friday, December 9, 2011.
