Jobs and the Economy Dominate Lance's 24th Town Hall Meeting in Bridgewater

WESTFIELD, NJ – On Wednesday, August 15, 2012, Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-7) held a town hall meeting with more than 100 residents at the Bridgewater municipal complex. The event marked Lance’s 24th town hall meeting held since coming to Congress.

During the two-hour meeting with Seventh District residents, Lance took dozens of questions from residents regarding the economy, job creation efforts, health care and federal spending. Lance also discussed his support for greater economic certainty and the need to extend tax relief for all Americans.

“Getting more Americans back to work and the state of the American economy are issues clearly on the minds of Seventh District residents and I couldn’t agree more that these are the most important issues confronting the Nation,” Lance said.  “I enjoyed the town hall meeting and having the opportunity to talk with residents about how we get our economy back on track and how we can best create jobs in America.”

Members of Lance’s staff were also available to assist residents who are experiencing difficulties with federal agencies, such as the IRS, Social Security Administration, Veterans Affairs, the State Department or any other federal agency.

If you or someone you know, couldn’t attend the town hall meeting, but need assistance with a federal agency, please contact Lance’s office at 908-518-7733 or 908-788-6900.
