“Today is an important day to take charge of your health. I want to encourage my constituents to participate in the free testing events and awareness campaigns surrounding National HIV Testing Day. Nearly 20 percent of the 1 million people living with HIV do not know they’re infected. Knowing your status is extremely important to one’s health, because early diagnosis and treatment can help save lives.
