Washington, DC – Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson released the following statement for Veterans Day, which is observed tomorrow:

“My thoughts and prayers today are with the many soldiers who were wounded during the tragic shooting at Fort Hood on November 5, and with the loved ones of those who died.  Today, on Veterans Day, I wish to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to all of our nation’s fallen heroes.  I also wish to honor the million-plus American servicemen and women who are currently stationed in the United States and around the world.  I commend them for their bravery and for the sacrifices they make to keep our nation safe and secure.”
