“Throughout his long service in the United States Senate, Senator Edward Kennedy demonstrated a commitment to progressive ideals, a deep understanding of the issues, and an ability to work across the aisle to pass legislation.  I will miss his leadership as we continue our national discussion on how to make health care accessible and affordable for all Americans.  My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this time of deep loss.”
