CARTER WINS FUNDS FOR KILLEEN SEWER AND WATER INFRASTRUCTURE
02/04/08Washington, Feb 4, 2008 -
U.S. Congressman John R. Carter (TX-31), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, today announced that $500,000 has been included in the 2008 Omnibus spending bill for new sewer and water infrastructure for the City of Killeen.
“Killeen is exploding with new residents and our water and sewer systems must be able to keep up with the growing population and increased needs,” Carter said. “I am proud to have secured these funds for critical new infrastructure that will provide for a sewer and water system to serve the new police headquarters in Killeen.”
The 2008 Omnibus spending bill passed the House and the Senate in 2007 and was signed into law by the President late last year.
