Carter Live Friday on KLBJ 590AM Austin

Carter Live on KLBJ AM 590 Friday Morning on the Energy Bill

(AUSTIN, TEXAS) – Congressman John Carter (R-TX) will be live starting 7:10am CST Friday (tomorrow) morning on Austin talk radio station KLBJ AM 590 to discuss the Democrat’s proposed national energy tax.

The controversial bill could be up for a vote Friday or Saturday in the House. The legislation is estimated by both parties and all cost scoring organizations to increase consumer prices on gasoline, diesel fuel, and consumer electric bills, and to cost up to 2 million jobs a year as U.S. manufacturers move to China and India, the world’s worst polluters, which will remain immune to the proposed regulations.

Carter has offered amendments to the bill that would automatically repeal the bill once passed if the U.S. Department of Energy certified that it raised the cost of gas or diesel by 10 cents a gallon, or consumer electric bills by $20 a month.
