Carter Comments on Rising Gas Costs

Round Rock – Today, U.S. Representative John R. Carter (TX-31) released the following statement regarding increasing gas prices and energy legislation:

"I am please to say the Energy and Commerce Committee will begin consideration of energy legislation today.

"Our nation is facing rising gas prices with some of the highest in the state right here, in Central Texas. The House has tried to solve the looming energy crisis before. We hope this time the Senate will join us in producing a comprehensive energy plan.

"We can secure America’s energy future by expanding production, increasing conservation and investing in renewable energy sources."
