Biggert to Attend Transportation for Illinois Coalition Quarry Tour and Luncheon

Biggert will join local transportation leaders and the Illinois Association of Aggregate Producers for a tour of the active limestone mining area at Boughton Trucking and Materials Quarry.  A Senior Member of the House Education and Labor Committee, which has jurisdiction over mine safety issues, Biggert will explore current mining operations, from extraction to loading crushed stone.  Following the tour, Biggert will attend a luncheon with business professionals from the Naperville Chamber of Commerce, as well as representatives of the Transportation for Illinois Coalition, to discuss regional, state, and national transportation issues, including the federal highway reauthorization bill and the Chicago waterway and lock system.  For questions, contact Abby Milone at (630) 655-2052.
