WHAT:
Biggert is hosting a series of Traveling Office Hours throughout the 13th congressional district to listen to the ideas and concerns of area residents, and make herself accessible to anyone that wishes to speak with their member of Congress.

WHEN:
9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time, Tuesday, July 13, 2010

WHERE:
Plainfield Municipal Building, 24401 W. Lockport Street, Plainfield. 

WHY:
During today’s economic downturn, people are becoming increasingly engaged in expressing their ideas about how to point government in a better direction.  Biggert welcomes the input and suggestions of her constituents, and is committed to making herself accessible to residents throughout the 13th congressional district. 

“I have always said that the best ideas don’t come from Washington, they come from people here at home who know where government can help, and where it can’t.  The 13th district includes three counties and fourteen townships, and it’s my goal to ensure that it’s just as easy for people living in the southern and northern borders to have an opportunity to speak with me.  The Traveling Office Hours are the perfect chance to help me make your voice heard in Washington,” said Biggert.

Additionally, Biggert will be joined by a case worker from her office who specializes in social security, immigration, veterans issues, and can serve as a liaison to various federal agencies.
