Ribble Statement on Payroll Tax Agreement

Dec 22, 2011 Issues: Congressional Reform, Budget

Appleton, WI – Representative Reid Ribble (WI-08) today released the following statement regarding the agreement that was reached between the House and Senate to extend the payroll tax cuts.

“I am glad that an agreement was finally reached to extend these tax cuts which will help millions of Americans. I support this deal because it will not only extend the payroll tax cuts, but it will also allow those on unemployment insurance to continue to receive their payments. Another provision included in this legislation preserves adequate health care funding for America’s physicians, which would protect Medicare patients’ access to care. This agreement was important step forward and I hope that we can work on a bipartisan agreement over the next two months to extend these items for a full year.”
