CONGRESSMEN RIBBLE, PETRI AND DUFFY, SENATORS KOHL AND JOHNSON TO OFFER UNITED STATES SERVICE ACADEMY DAY ‘11

Washington D.C. –Congressmen Reid Ribble, Tom Petri and Sean Duffy and U.S. Senators Herb Kohl and Ron Johnson, and will hold Academy Day 2011 on Saturday, September 17, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Center in Oshkosh.  This informative seminar is for all high school students in the State of Wisconsin to discuss the requirements and procedures for seeking a nomination to the U.S. Service Academies.  All necessary qualifications and the procedures for applying to the academies will be explained.  You do not need to register for this event.

Representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy, the Coast Guard Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy will all be present to answer questions and distribute information about their academies.  We requested that academies bring a Wisconsin cadet/midshipman currently attending the academy to share their first-hand experiences.  Congressmen Ribble, Petri and Duffy and Senators Kohl and Johnson encourage all interested students and parents to attend.  All questions regarding this event should be directed to the Members’ offices.

The EAA Center is located at 3000 Poberezny Road in Oshkosh.
