Another Day, Another Billion Dollars

Posted by Megan Mitchell in In The News

A day after the President signed a trillion dollar government take over of health care, House Democrats will attempt to jam through billions more in borrowed spending. Once again, Speaker Pelosi has chosen to shut out the American people by bringing a billion dollar bill to the floor that was crafted in secret with no public hearings.

The Democrats’ “Disaster Relief and Summer Jobs” bill contains $600 million for a “Summer Youth Jobs” grant program. This is in addition to the yet unspent $400 million for the program in the “stimulus bill.”  Wasn’t the $787 billion stimulus bill supposed to create jobs? Why do we need $600 million in new “emergency spending” when we haven’t spent the $400 million of emergency spending from last year?

Congress has to start living within its means or we will end up like Argentina – fiscally insolvent.

    We need common sense
    Not the two party system
    We need common sense
    And independent thinking
    We need common sense
    Not lawyers and spending
    Just another American politician
    Hiding behind the legal system
    Just another American politician
Hiding behind the two party system
    A revolt is brewing
    Across this nation
    A revolt is brewing
    And we are not blinking
    Locked and loaded
    Cross hairs shrinking
    We are mad as hell
    And we are not blinking

Our forefathers knew this would happen. Fear your government, fear your congressman, fear your president. Thank God for the right to bear arms. Keep up the good fight against the insanity that currently exists in our government. I fear the next few years. Please help us get out of this madness.

Spending more than we can afford is the democrat plan. It is the intention of the liberals to bankrupt the nation, then clamp down controls even more. We in normal America are bewildered by this, wondering how they can be so stupid. But they are not stupid if there plan is to set up a dictatorship. Which they are doing, right in front of our eyes. Mr. Culberson, I beg you to help get us out of this mess. People are looking for strong leadership right now, and the Republicans have the full backing of 2/3 of the nation. The time to strike is now. I for one, think we should starve the beast and stop sending in our taxes.

Why do we need more Youth Summer Jobs?
The youth of our country do need direction, but we as the WORKING Americans need the jobs so we can provide for our family. The summer youth have a job, EDUCATION. I believe that education for the children is their job and should be the priority for them. Right now there is a 10% unemployment rate. That Rate signifies able and willing adults who can work 40+hours a day. We are about the get more taxes on our shoulders, have to pay for Health Insurance. Please Tell CONGRESS to let us recover from one bad piece of Legislation at a time. Before this country goes broke, lets get some people who can balance a budget, understanding of the needs of the country, and who will LISTEN to the majority of the country. I can accept bad deals is the majority of the country actually wants them, but not if our leaders wont listen to the majority. I may not agree with everything Rep. Culberson believes, but i am proud to say he is my representative in Congress, and he LISTENS to the people whom he REPRESENTS! Keep up the good work Rep Culberson and help lead us to a BETTER AMERICA!!!!!
