House Republicans Hold News Conference on 'Fiscal Cliff'

Washington, DC
Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Members of the House Republican Conference spoke to reporters on the debt and deficit and the latest so-called “fiscal cliff” negotiations. House Republicans said the added revenues in President Obama’s proposal don’t solve the deficit problem and that the President needs to put spending cuts on the table.

This week, House Speaker John Boehner and the White House traded a second round of proposals addressing the tax increases and budget cuts that begin to take effect in January 2013.
