WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Mulvaney released the following statement regarding his appointment to the House Committee on Financial Services:
"I am excited by my appointment to the House Committee on Financial Services. Community banks, credit unions, insurance companies, and the consumer finance industry are the backbone of South Carolina's financial services economy. By working on this Committee, I will be in a position to deal with issues that affect a growing and important segment of our state's economy. Furthermore, as a conservative, I am looking forward to being directly involved with our efforts to reform Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Dodd-Frank, and to continue to keep a vigilant eye on our nation's monetary policy. I am eager to get to work."
