MEDIA ADVISORY: Rep. Mulvaney to Participate in Honor Flight with WWII Veterans

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On September 26, Rep. Mulvaney will join a group of World War II Veterans on an Honor Flight hosted by the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina. Rep. Mulvaney will serve as a guardian to Dr. Edward S. "Buddy" Whitesides of Clover, SC. The group will leave from Columbia Metropolitan Airport, fly to Washington, spend the day visiting the city and touring monuments, and then fly back to Columbia.

Dr. Edward S. "Buddy" Whitesides served in the United States Army, 414th Infantry Regiment 104th Division in Germany during World War II. Dr. Whitesides, a resident of Clover, is a retired Orthopedic Surgeon.

This Honor Flight is one of several that have been hosted by various organizations to honor those that served in World War II.
