New Dems: Urge Support for Ex-Im Bank Reauthorization

Washington, D.C. – Today, leaders of the New Democrat Coalition, chaired by Rep. Joseph Crowley (NY-7), released the following statement on reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank, a bill offered by Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-2) and Rep. Don Manzullo(IL-16).

“We can’t cut the cord on America’s job creators.   Last year alone, Ex-Im financing helped more than 3,000 companies add almost 300,000 jobs across America—selling their products around the world creates jobs here at home.  We must act swiftly and give entrepreneurs a system they can count on with the longevity they deserve.”

Earlier this month, the New Democrat Coalition released a set of principles regarding Innovation and Competitiveness.  These principles included eliminating red tape for exporters and providing innovative forms of export financing.  For an in-depth look at the New Democrat Coalition Principles for Innovation and Competitiveness, please click here.

Statement supported by New Dem Leadership Members, led by Chair Representative Joseph Crowley (NY-7), and Vice-Chairs Representative Jim Himes (CT-4), Representative Ron Kind (WI-3), Representative Rick Larsen (WA-2), and Representative Allyson Schwartz (PA-13).
