Senator Mark Udall will host a field hearing of the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee on Aug. 15 in Colorado Springs to discuss forest health issues and recent western wildfires, focusing on lessons learned that can be applied to future suppression, recovery and mitigation efforts. The hearing will provide an opportunity for the committee to receive testimony from experts on forest health and wildfire issues.
