We owe a great debt to the men and women who fought for our country in defense of freedom and democracy. Throughout my tenure in Congress I have consistently voted to increase funding for both our veterans and actively deployed troops.

Furthermore, over the last several years I have worked towards the goal of locating a Veterans Cemetery in Northern Florida to allow our communities’ veterans the option of a final resting place close to their homes and families. I am proud to have presided over the first Memorial Day ceremony at our new National Cemetery in May 2009 and am eager to continue to fight to provide our veterans with the benefits they deserve.”
