Washington, DC--Congressman Eliot Engel (D-NY-17) issued the following statement after the death of State Senator Thomas Morahan at the age of 78. 

“Like everyone who has ever known Tom, I am feelingdeep sadness at his passing.  Tom was a pure gentleman and dedicated public servant.  New York State lost a giant and his family lost a great husband, father and grandfather.  And I have lost a good friend.  All of our thoughts and prayers are with his family.”
