Reps. Engel, Nadler, Garamendi, Del. Christensen, and other Members TBA, Urge Presidential Action as a Failsafe

Washington, DC -- Congressman Eliot Engel (D-NY-17) is calling for President Obama to invoke the 14^th Amendment of the Constitution as the deadline for the country to act to avoid default rapidly approaches.  Rep. Engel will be joined by several colleagues in support of the action – Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY- 8), Rep. John Garamendi (D-CA-10), and Del. Donna Christensen (D-Virgin Islands) - at a press conference on Thursday afternoon at the corner of 14^th Street and Constitution Avenue NW in Washington DC.
