Washington, DC -- Congressman Eliot Engel (D-NY-17) issued the following statement regarding the West Nyack Post Office.

“The West Nyack Post Office, closed due to Hurricane Irene-caused flooding, is scheduled to reopen the first week of December.  This re-opening should end the inconvenience the people of Clarkstown have been facing during the needed repairs.  I have been in close contact with the Postal Service since the closing, and urged the office’s prompt re-opening following the reconstruction work.

“I will continue to work on behalf of the people of Clarkstown to make sure the post office re-opens as quickly as possible, especially with the holiday season fast approaching.”
