SOCIAL SECURITY REPRESENTATIVES AT REP. ENGEL'S OFFICE THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19TH

Washington, D.C.--Representatives of the Social Security Administration will be at Congressman Eliot Engel’s Bronx office on Thursday, November 19th to help people with questions and/or issues concerning Social Security.

The service, at the Congressman’s 3655 Johnson Avenue office, is available only by an appointment, which may be made by calling Rep. Engel’s Executive Assistant Richard Fedderman at 718 796-9700.

Rep. Engel said, “This is a continuing program to bring Social Security help to people where they live. Social Security representatives have been coming to my office for several years and in that time have helped hundreds of people.”

The Congressman also directed people to the Social Security website (www.ssa.gov) which offers on-line services including filing for retirement, survivors and disability benefits, change of address, replacing lost Medicare cards, or keeping up to date on Social Security matters.

(Usually the Social Security meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month but the SSA asked to change the date for this month.)
