REP. ENGEL MEETS WITH MAYOR BLOOMBERG TO DISCUSS FEDERAL BUDGET

Washington, DC -- Congressman Eliot Engel (D-NY-17), and the New York City Congressional Delegation met with Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Tuesday (3/15/11) in Washington.  Rep. Engel and Mayor Bloomberg spoke about how New York City was being affected by the ongoing budget debate and how New Yorkers could be protected against many of the Republican proposed budget cuts.  They also covered several other topics including gun control, immigration and homeland security.
