Dan Strodel

Dan Strodel

Chief Administrative Officer Dan Strodel oversees the varied operations of the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The CAO is a non-partisan, non-legislative office that provides support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff. Strodel has held the position since July 2010.

Prior to serving as the CAO, Strodel worked as a senior advisor to the Committee on House Administration (CHA). In this position, he advised the Committee on management and oversight of the CAO and other operations. Strodel's other House experience includes positions with the Office of the Clerk, the Office of the Sergeant at Arms, and the CAO.  His more than 25 years on Capitol Hill also include work with the Office of the Sergeant at Arms of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. Capitol Police.

Strodel has a law degree from the Catholic University of America and a bachelor's degree from Hobart College.

Stacy Carlson

Stacy Carlson

Stacy Carlson serves as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer. Essentially, she is the CAO’s chief operating officer, working with the business units to provide cost-effective budget, technology, procurement, and furnishings to the House.

Carlson has held senior management positions in banking, finance, and public policy, including staff director for the Committee on House Administration and senior speechwriter to former Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson. She has an MBA from Stanford University, a B.A. in economics from California State University Bakersfield, and is the author of You, Me & the U.S. Economy: A Plainspoken Story of Financial Crisis.

Traci Beaubian

Traci Beaubian

Traci Beaubian serves as Chief Financial Officer for the U.S. House of Representatives. She is responsible for the House’s financial operations, including accounting, budget, and payroll and benefits. Beaubian has held various financial management, accounting, and financial operations positions within the CAO and the private sector.

Beaubian has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University.

Jerry Bennett

Jerry Bennett

As Chief Logistics Officer, Jerry Bennett oversees operations that hold, repair, and deliver House furniture; track, remove, and dispose of House equipment; processes payments for House goods and services; design and print graphic work; and provide a variety of photographic services.

Bennett started work at the House in a mail folding room in 1969. He has had eight different jobs in the House.

Nelson Moe

Chief Information Officer Nelson Moe oversees the full range of information technology services provided by the House. He also leads the House Information Resources senior management team. Prior to his career on Capitol Hill, Moe worked in the private IT sector and served in the U.S. Navy on submarines.

Moe earned a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy, an M.S. in Engineering from Catholic University, and an Applied Scientist degree from George Washington University.

Jason Hite

Jason Hite serves as Chief Human Resources Officer for the CAO.  He is responsible for overseeing the human resources groups that service the CAO and the House of Representatives. Hite has held various human resources positions within the CAO and the private sector spanning multiple industries.

Hite has a B.S. in Management from St. Francis University (Loretto, PA), an M.S. in Human Resources Management from Edinburgh Napier University (Edinburgh, Scotland), and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.

Larry Toperoff

Larry Toperoff serves as Chief Acquisitions Officer for the CAO. He ensures that procurements are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner that eliminates waste, fraud, and abuse. Toperoff is also the Contracting Officer for the House, advising the CAO and the Committee on House Administration on policy and procedural changes to the procurement system. 

Toperoff earned a B.B.A. and a master’s degree from Adelphi University before attending Officer Candidate School in the U.S. Navy in 1977. After retiring from the Navy in 1994, Toperoff began his career in the Legislative Branch, where he has also served in the U.S. Senate.
