Congressional Art Competition

Each spring, a nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives.  The Artistic Discovery Contest is open to all high school students in the Third District. The over-all winner of our district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol.  Please click here for more information.

U.S. Service Academy Nominations

As your Representative, each year Congressman Smith has the privilege of nominating a limited number of people to four of the five U.S. Service Academies. The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.
