Rep. Tim Scott Statement on Veterans Day

Charleston, SC – Congressman Tim Scott (SC-01) issued the following statement on Veterans Day.



“Here in the Lowcountry, we know full well the sacrifices our veterans have made for our nation. Whether in the forests of Europe during World War II, or the mountains of Afghanistan, these men and women have dedicated their lives to America – and all of us.



Their blood, sweat and tears are the lifeblood of the American Dream, because without the efforts of our veterans we would be living in a very different world. We will forever remember those left behind, and are forever thankful to each and every man and woman who put their lives on the line everyday for us. I also want to recognize the families of our veterans who stand so strong, and make certain they know we are all here for their support when they need it.



I know the First District will join me today in thanking our veterans, as they deserve each and every word, handshake and embrace. We will keep our promises to them, and ensure they are treated with the honor and respect they have earned.”
