(North Las Vegas, NV)  –  A deal has been approved to build a wastewater pipeline from the North Las Vegas water treatment facility to Lake Mead.

County commissioners and the North Vegas City Council signed off on the deal yesterday.  It calls for both sides to fund the pipeline next to the Sloan Channel.

North Vegas officials will address odor and insect problems caused by discharged wastewater in the county-owned channel.

The pipeline is expected to be completed in about 18 months.
