REP. DICKS JOINS CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION TO IRAQ

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Norm Dicks (D-Wash.) will join 16 other members of Congress in traveling to Iraq for a three-day briefing on military issues, force protection and Iraqi reconstruction.  The trip begins Thursday evening (9/25) and ends with the group's return to Washington Monday evening.

            Included on the agenda for the trip, sponsored by the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, will be visits to Baghdad to view infrastructure challenges as well as briefings conducted by U.S. weapons inspection teams. The lawmakers will also meet with U.S. troops stationed in the region.
