2010 Congressional Art Competition Open to Entries from High School Students

Congressman Dicks is pleased to announce the 2010 Congressional Art Competition, "An Artistic Discovery." This event is a nationwide annual art competition that allows high school students from across the United States to showcase their artistic ability. Winning works from each Congressional district will be displayed for eleven months in the tunnel that leads to the U.S. Capitol. The student whose artwork is selected will be invited to travel to Washington, D.C. on June 17, 2010 to attend a ceremony unveiling their artwork.

Congressman Dicks is honored to offer this opportunity to a high school student from the Sixth Congressional District of Washington.  Entries must be received by 5:30pm, Friday, April 2, 2010. Artwork may be submitted to my district office in Tacoma, 1019 Pacific Avenue, Suite 806, Tacoma, WA  98402 during normal business hours, 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Please visit the High School Students page for further information regarding the competition, contest guidelines and a student release form.
