    • MESSAGE SENT TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE KNESSET AND DIRECTED TO EACH OF US My Dearest Brothers and Sisters, There is much strife and seeming complexity regarding peace and brotherhood among all of us in the world. There are many, who believe they have the right answer and are militant to impose their “right” answer on all. They seem to forget the earliest message of our holy scriptures, whether the Koran, the Bible or the Thora, namely that each of us, within our hearts, have been provided with the spirit and love of the Father of us all. This was revealed to our common earthly father, Adam, who understood this in his heart before the writing of any scripture. Each of us have access to this fundamental truth, whether Muslim, Christian, Jew and also our fellow human beings, who have not had the good and fortunate access to the teachings. When we pray, we pray to our Father, present and living within in hearts of each of us. The secret to the peace and brotherhood we all yearn for is to see the presence of our Father in each of us and to love each other as our Father loves us. Within this context, the actions required to address the problems of our contemporary times will not seem insurmountable. “We have sent by inspiration to you as We commended to Abraham, Moses and Jesus, namely that you should be steadfast in religion and make no divisions therein… Allah is our Lord and your Lord… there is no contention between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is our Homecoming.” (Sura 42.13 - 15) My access to our Father is through the Christian teaching, neither less nor more important than the teachings of Abraham or Mohammad. It is the Christmas season, a time when Christians celebrate the love of the Father for and within us all. I give you the following teaching of the Apostle Paul and invite you, whether Muslim, Christian, Jew or a brother seeking access to our Father, to live this teaching within your life: “If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” From Love and Brotherhood, Erik Hesse

Noreen Love Over the past 50 years there have been 27 mass shootings worldwide. 15 or those have been in the United States. There are many other countries that have, per capita, citizens possess more guns than we do in this country. They don't have this kind of violence because of gun control laws that work. 74% of NRA members want gun control laws but the leaders of the NRA are dead set against it. Congress is too wimpy to take them on. What does it take to make are government grow the backbone that is needed to ban assault weapons and pass sensible gun control laws? Haven't enough people died by gun violence? Everyday 34 people lose their lived due to gun violence. If the members of congress refuse to act, it is time to vote them out. Hopefully, citizens will unite and become one voice that will be heard around the world. Remember, we are the government. The people who make up our congress are our servants and they represent our wishes. Unlike · · 4 minutes ago · You and 2 others like this. Dee Peterson You said it Judge. 3. I was honored to participate in an event last night honoring veterans, highlighting the Veterans History Project to help preserve the experiences of our service members, and screening the powerful documentary, Honor Flight, which follows four Wisconsin WWII veterans on their journey to DC to visit the memorials built in their honor. Thank you to all those who have served this great country.

  5. Today, HHS released data showing that 5.8 million seniors have saved $5.1 billion on prescription drugs as a result of the Affordable Care Act. In 2012 alone, over 40,000 Wisconsinites in the “donut hole” have saved an average of $704. Like or share this post if you agree that the Affordable Care Act is working for Wisconsin.
  6. As the recently selected Chair of the New Democrat Coalition, I'm honored to work with a group of my colleagues who are dedicated to creating jobs and getting our economy back on track. We have an opportunity now to find ways to work across the aisle and bring our country back together again - the New Democrat Coalition can play a critical role in achieving that.
  7. Wisconsin exported a record $2.85 billion worth of agricultural products in 2011, up 18% over 2010. Clearly, exporting creates economic opportunity for our producers. Today,Tim Walz and I sent a letter asking Ambassador Kirk and Sec. Vilsack to prevent Russia from using discriminatory trade practices against our producers. Share this post if you think our dairy farmers deserve this growth opportunity. http://www.kind.house.gov/latest-news/kind-walz-push-to-expand-dairy-exports-to-russia-end-russias-discriminatory-trade-practices-against-american-dairy-products/
