In a speech on the House floor today, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) called on the White House to stop slow-walking a solution to the fiscal cliff and put forth a balanced plan with serious spending cuts that can pass both houses of Congress.

    There will be no spending cuts. In Washington DC, with Democrats as well as Republicans, a spending cut means not borrowing and printing as much as you initially budgeted. Even with DC "spending cuts" the debt continues to climb. The only difference is the Republicans will bankrupt the US at a slower rate then the Democrats. What a choice. It's all smoke and mirrors.
