Myrick Attends White House Breast Cancer Survivorship Event

(Washington, DC) – This afternoon, First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness event at the White House. Rep. Sue Myrick, a nine year breast cancer survivor, was in attendance to hear from breast cancer survivors and activists from across the country.

"Awareness and access to screening are half the battle when it comes to battling breast cancer. It's important to celebrate the advances we've made when it comes to detection and treatment. We must also address the challenges faced by patients and survivors. I was honored to attend this event, and look forward to continuing my work on these issues."

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
