To date, the House of Representatives has passed 27 bipartisan jobs
bills that are currently awaiting Senate action. This includes bills
aimed at reducing the burdensome regulations and red tape that prevents
job creation and hinders economic growth, especially for small business

Recent Developments:
The Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act(JOBS Act) was signed into law by the President on April 5, 2012. This bill is a legislative package of bipartisan measures that would increase capital formation, spur the growth of startups and small businesses and enable more small-scale businesses to enter public markets. Joint Select Committee of Congress: The recently passed debt ceiling agreement created a 12-member Joint Select Committee of Congress that is required to report legislation by November 23, 2011, which proposes a way to reduce the deficit by at least $1.5 trillion over the next 10 years.
