Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO—05) issued this statement following the vote to hold U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of congress:

“I voted to hold U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress because it is clear after  an 18-month joint investigation by House and Senate oversight committees that Eric Holder has refused to comply with a subpoena issued by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.By refusing to turn over thousands of documents, he has prevented Congress from getting to the truth behind the Fast and Furious gun running operation.

Congressman Lamborn has previously called for AG Eric Holder’s resignation.
