I was really surprised when they decided to change my sons room two days ago i didnt know he was on the same floor however they told me it was for managed care 24 hr care that he needed although some say it is long term and others say it is managed the last person that was there was there for 7 years. Well it wouldnt of been so bad had they cleaned up the dead persons personal belongings the bathroom is filthy and the dirty linen of the dead patient still is in the bathroom all there personal property is in bags next to my sons property from his draw they threw him out like the trash in . and they say he needs to be in a sanitary environment. were they that desperate for a body to fill their quota they expect me to believe they are helping us i made it clear i do not want my son in their nursing home what will they think of next. its one thing to change a room but sanitize it first before you put the next person in it they are determined to stop me from getting my son set up at home where i have been advocating for his rights to freedom to enjoy the rest of his life with family and friends. i am digusted with this under handed behavior

The VA care at access family health center in Smithville, Ms is a shame. Veterans are told to sit and wait. I call the VA Medical Center and I am recommend to the Emergancy care, problem is I live 2 hours away. VA care is awful in North MS. When I lived up North the VA care was wonderful. They bent over backwards to help veterans. We don't get any help in Mississippi. I have been complaining about this since 2006 and nothing has yet to be done. I could write a book about my shameful care from te VA.

  19. A recent study concluded that increased efficiency at VA hospitals has cut down on patient stays, which helps doctors see more patients and reduce overall costs. One important note: this doesn't mean patients are leaving before they are ready. The same study found readmission rates have also reduced, meaning people are getting better faster and not coming straight back. More below. -Alex Horton
