COMPLAINT – Earl Shuman is the co-author of the song, “Hey There Lonely Girl,” which has been a hit for different artists in the 60s, 70s and 80s. He claims that Alicia Keys’ song, “Girl on Fire,” quotes “Lonely Girl” without credit, and infringes his copyright. (C.D. Cal.)

OPINION - Even though father used medical marijuana regularly, there was no evidence of neglect or abuse. Father worked and provided stabile home, and was otherwise responsible parent. Judgment declaring his child to be a dependent of the court was reversed. (Cal.Ct. App., 2d Dist.)
