Yesterday George met with Diana Paniagua and Carmen Curry, youth members of the Conservation Corps North Bay who live in the Bay Area. The Conservation Corps engage youth between the ages of 16 and 24 in service, education, job training and mentorship.

Diana and Carmen thanked George for his support of Conversation Corps, Youthbuild, and other federal programs that support young people successfully complete high school, advance to college or trade school, and obtain the skills needed to secure a good job. 

Diana and Carmen shared their personal stories and how, through the education and job training programs at Conservation Corps North Bay, they have had opportunities to serve their community, graduate from high school and pursue a college education.
