American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
Washington,
Jul 27, 2010 -
Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) meets with national representatives of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) to discuss the MOMS for the 21st Century Act authored by the congresswoman to improve birth outcomes for mothers and their babies while reducing medical costs. ACOG thanked the congresswoman for her leadership in maternal health issues. The organization supports the bill’s provisions that seek to develop, test and implement evidence-based maternal health care. They also support efforts to expand the numbers of maternity health care providers and increase the diversity of the health care workforce.
