    I’m honored to accept this award and appreciate the friendship and relationship between farmers and ranchers ...

    I am frustrated by the Federal Reserve’s announcement to continue the policy of quantitative easing (QE) today.

    The first three rounds of QE were not able to move the unemployment rate below 8 percent and it is unlikely that further QE will have a substantial impact either.

    Monetary policy is not holding the economy back, it is the president’s constant threats of tax increases, over burdensome regulations, and persistent business uncertainty that are stifling job creation.
