  • Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control – The Department of Housing and Urban Development is soliciting applications for the Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control grant program. The overarching purpose of the program is to assist in the undertaking of comprehensive programs to identify and control lead-based paint hazards in eligible privately owned rental or owner-occupied housing.   • Recovery Implementation Fund – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is accepting applications for the 2013 Recovery Implementation Fund. This Recovery Implementation funding opportunity is intended for projects that will contribute to the recovery of FWS-managed endangered and threatened species in the U.S., and is limited to projects carrying out actions described in a species approved recovery plan.   • Candidate Conservation Action Funds – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is accepting applications for the 2013 Candidate Conservation Action Funds.   • Small Health Care Provider Quality Improvement – The Health Resources & Services Administration is soliciting applications for the Small Health Care Provider Quality Improvement Grant Program.   • NEA Literature Fellowships – The National Endowment for the Arts is accepting applications for the Literature Fellowships: Prose program which offers $25,000 grants in prose (fiction and creative nonfiction) and poetry to published creative writers that enable recipients to set aside time for writing, research, travel, and general career advancement.   • Coastal and Marine Habitat Restoration – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is soliciting applications for the 2013 Coastal and Marine Habitat Restoration Project Grants.   • State Wildlife Grants Competitive Grant Program – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is soliciting applications for the State Wildlife Grants Program that funds the development and implementation of programs that benefit wildlife and their habitats, including species not hunted or fished.   • Solid Waste Management Grant Program – The USDA, Rural Development is soliciting applications for the Solid Waste Management Grant Program which evaluates current landfill conditions to determine threats to water resources. The program provides technical assistance and training to enhance operator skills in the operation and maintenance of active landfills or to help communities reduce the solid waste stream.   • AmeriCorps State and National Grants – The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) is soliciting applications for the AmeriCorps State and National Grants. AmeriCorps grants help improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic participation through service and volunteering.   • Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program – The SSVF Program’s purpose is to provide supportive services grants to private non-profit organizations and consumer cooperatives who will coordinate or provide supportive services to very low income veteran families who are residing in permanent housing, homeless and scheduled to become residents of permanent housing within a specified time period.   • Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Sea Grant College Program will provide an educational experience in the policies and processes of programs that have an interest in ocean, coastal and Great Lakes resources and in the national policy decisions affecting those resources, initiated the Sea Grant Knauss Fellowship Program.   • WaterSMART – The WaterSMART grant will provide funding for projects that seek to conserve and use water more efficiently, increase the use of renewable energy and improve energy efficiency, benefit endangered and threatened species, facilitate water markets, or carry out other activities to address climate-related impacts on water or prevent any water-related crisis or conflict.   • Recovery of Ecological Processes Impacted by Non-Native Invasive Species in the Pacific Islands – The Strategic Environmental Research and Development Programs has issued a Statement of Need to improve the fundamental and applied understanding of ecological processes in the Pacific Islands that have been altered by the introduction of non-native invasive species on lands and near-shore coastal environments managed by the Department of Defense. Research proposals are sought that improve the understanding of: (1) how key ecological processes have been altered from their historical condition by the introduction, establishment, and spread of NIS and (2) how to restore these processes to restore ecological function, desired ecosystem services, and to the extent feasible, the recovery of threatened, endangered, and at-risk species.   • Groundwork USA Program – The National Park Service is soliciting applications for the Groundwork USA Pilot Program that builds capacity to improve the environmental, economic and social conditions in communities impacted by Brownfield’s and neglected lands by supporting the establishment and early success of locally organized and governed independent nonprofit environmental businesses.   • Two Year College Challenge Grants – The National Endowment for the Humanities invites two-year colleges to apply in a special Challenge Grant competition to strengthen their long-term humanities programs and resources.   • Coastal Resilience Networks – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is soliciting project proposals to implement activities that enhance resiliency of coastal communities to natural hazard and climate risks through a regional or national network.   • Cooperative Endangered Species Conservation Fund – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking proposals from states and U.S. territories interested in obtaining federal financial assistance to acquire land or conduct planning efforts for endangered species conservation. The CESCF provides grants to participate in a wide array of voluntary conservation projects for candidate, listed, and recently recovered species. Four grant programs are available through the CESCF including the Traditional Conservation Grants and the Nontraditional Habitat Conservation Plan Land Acquisition, Habitat Conservation Planning Assistance, and Recovery Land Acquisition Grants.   • Ocean Sciences Research Initiation Grants – The Division of Ocean Sciences offers Research Initiation Grants in an effort to increase the participation of under-represented groups in the ocean sciences. Research Initiation Grants provide start up funding for researchers who have been recently appointed to tenure track (or equivalent) positions, with the twin goals of enhancing the development of their research careers and broadening the participation of under-represented groups in ocean sciences.   • OIA Maintenance Assistance Program – The Department of Interior, Office of Insular Affairs is requesting funding proposals for its FY 2013 Maintenance Assistance Program.   • OIA Technical Assistance Program – The Department of Interior, Office of Insular Affairs is requesting proposals for its FY 2013 OIA Technical Assistance Program which provides grant funding for short-term projects proposed to meet the immediate needs of the insular areas. Funding priorities include projects that promote the development of the insular areas in the following categories: accountability, financial management, economic development, training/education, energy, management control initiatives, safety, emergency, historical and cultural preservation, capacity building and health initiatives.   • America's Media Makers – The National Endowment for the Humanities is soliciting applications for the America’s Media Makers development and production grants.   • Digital Humanities Implementation Grants – The National Endowment for the Humanities is soliciting applications for the Digital Humanities Implementation Grants.
